Founder
Karl Ohlemann
Karl Ohlemann is a founder-operator, CFO, and technology-systems strategist whose work spans company building, finance, governance, operating systems, automation, and applied AI.
Preserve is a long-term, family-rooted passion project for Karl and his wife. It responds to a recurring problem: the warning signs and possible pathways to resolution often exist long before a partnership or institution reaches litigation or public crisis, but the evidence, expertise, and accountability needed to act are rarely organized in one place.
MIT applied AI work
Preserve as an AI-transformation use case.
Preserve served as Karl’s applied AI-transformation project in MIT Sloan Executive Education’s Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy program, completed in March 2024.
The final roadmap focused on a manageable use case for improving organizational performance through AI-assisted assessment and operating workflows. Instructor feedback praised the proposal’s clarity, realism, stakeholder value, professional organization, and actionability, while recommending a more detailed phased timeline.
This academic work informs Preserve’s development. It does not imply that MIT endorses, certifies, or operates Preserve.
Digital infrastructure
The .preserve namespace.
Preserve controls the .preserve Web3 top-level domain through Freename, minted on Polygon. The namespace may support future branch identities, credentials, continuity structures, or other authorized uses as the ecosystem and Preserve model develop.
It is an owned infrastructure asset, not evidence that those future capabilities are currently operating or of a formal partnership with Freename.
