Preserve is developing an AI-assisted platform to help people and organizations understand conflict, explore resolution pathways, and connect with professionals whose experience fits their situation.
The premise
People should not have to wait for a lawsuit to get serious about resolution.
Too often, conflict reaches lawyers and courts only after positions have hardened, costs have accumulated, and relationships have become difficult to repair. Preserve is being designed to move disciplined intervention earlier.
The objective is not to automate judgment or force settlement. It is to organize the issues, evidence, interests, options, and professional support needed to pursue informed, voluntary resolution where possible—and to recognize when formal legal action is necessary.

Preserve grew from Karl Ohlemann and his wife’s longstanding interest in healthier responses to conflict. Karl used Preserve as the applied project throughout his MIT Sloan Executive Education AI coursework, completed in March 2024.
